Steve Gross, MD

Dr Gross earned his undergraduate degree at Old Dominion University and medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.  He completed both his surgical residency and a two-year postgraduate research fellowship at Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. 

He finished a two-year fellowship in Esophageal and Minimally Invasive Surgery in Portland, Oregon, as well as research on Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) with USGI Medical.  Following a year of private practice in Asheville, NC, Dr. Gross joined CCS in 2007.  He practices a broad range of general surgery with a particular interest in advanced minimally invasive and endoscopic approaches to diseases of the abdomen such as heartburn/reflux, achalasia, colon and rectal disease, hernias, and more.
